Leslie Stewart, R.D. L.D.
Leslie is the dietitian for the Taylor-High Center for Preventive Medicine. She was previously the dietician for the Fuqua Heart Center at Piedmont Hospital. While at the Heart Center, she taught classes on disease prevention, performed nutrition assessments , and designed and implemented individual lipid, blood pressure, diabetes and weight management programs.
Leslie is well known in the community through her role as dietary spokesperson for Piedmont Hospital and the Georgia Affiliate of the American Heart Association.
She has been recognized for her outstanding articles regarding Heart Disease and Nutrition and has been a contributing author for numerous publications and cookbooks.
Leslie is a board member of the Georgia Dietetic Association and past president of the Greater Atlanta Dietetic Association.
Leslie will design and implement nutrition programs for individuals to manage and control blood lipids, blood pressure, diabetes and manage their weight.
James "Edward" Gilbert, M.S.
Edward is the exercise physiologist for the Taylor-High Center for Preventive Medicine.
Edward comes to the Clinic from the Gwinnett Health System. He holds a Master of Science in Exercise Science and is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Edward has conducted fitness evaluations and research in adult populations in over 20 states. In his past, he has been a head coach of football and baseball teams, an assistant strength coach for a nationally ranked Division I athletic program, and an adjunct professor of anatomy and physiology at the Heart of Georgia Technical Institute.
Edward will design exercise programs for the participants of the clinic based upon individual needs and goals to optimize overall heath and well-being.
Rosemary Alexander, RN
Rosemary is a Registered Nurse and Clinic Manager of the Taylor High Clinic. She is a graduate of The Touro Infirmary School of Nursing and Louisiana State University in New Orleans. Rosemary's 30 years of experience in the medical field was founded in Critical Care Nursing through her work in Surgical, Coronary Care Intensive Care Units and the Recovery Room. She also worked in pharmaceutical and medical sales.
Rosemary has worked with Dr. Taylor and Dr. High for over 10 years at Perimeter North Family Medicine where she continues to serve as the Clinical Administrator.
